This session will provide participants with an overview of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), sharing of experiences with TBI, and how educators and school staff support students with TBI. The presenters will also discuss resources that are available within the HDSB and the Halton community.

Navigating the Mental Health System for your Child
The mental health system can be extremely complicated. Whether you are at the start of the journey with your child or finding your way through it, please join us to discuss strategies to support you and your family. We will discuss the role of the various professionals in the mental health system, when you might go to each one and what the benefits could be for your child. We will also discuss the many suggestions that you might receive to care for your child and their mental health and how they all connect together. We will also talk about the various supports available to you through the HDSB and how all of these supports can work together to meet the needs of your child.

Sessions will be held on Google Meet, where closed captioning is available in various languages. Sessions will not be recorded.
