Washtenaw County: Adult Mental Health First Aid Training
This form is to collect information from Washtenaw County-based groups and organizations that are interested in receiving the Adult Mental Health First Aid training from our local certified instructors.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an 8-hour training course, designed to teach participants key skills in assisting someone who is developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The course builds mental health literacy and helps community members identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness. Just as CPR training helps a person with no clinical training assist a person following a heart attack, MHFA training helps a person assist and support someone experiencing a crisis until appropriate professional help arrives.
Note: Per COVID-19 safety guidelines, MHFA trainings are currently being conducting online using videoconferencing software. However, future trainings may occur in person.
