NVCAC Volunteer Interest Application
Thank you for considering volunteering with NVCAC!

Volunteers and artists power us through, and together we increase our capacity for arts and culture leadership, and find new ways of creating and connecting community. When you're part of the Nicola Valley Community Arts Council (NVCAC), you help to build community resilience and support local artists of all kinds.

Your first step is to activate a NVCAC membership. (Click HERE to purchase a $20 NVCAC Membership).
Then choose the type of volunteer role you want to step into, and start connecting with your creative community by filling in and submitting the form below.

PROGRAM SUPPORT:
Help assist course and workshop instructors and artists before, during and after their offerings, from set up, assisting participants, and tidying up after. Program support can include working with art-related supplies or providing technical (video/computer) support as well.

SPECIAL EVENTS HELPER:
Help usher patrons, serve a at a concession, collect tickets, welcome guests, hand out program guides, or set up stage and exhibits. We also need helpers for audio and visual equipment, aid in live streaming, video recording and photography. If you a have a Serving It Right certificate, it would be a huge help.

GALLERY & GIFT SHOP HELPER:
Help arrange with set up and dismantling of art exhibits, work alongside the Gallery Curator,  welcome patrons, help on-duty artisans, assist in the Gift Shop, provide information to visitors, or collect new memberships, This is great experience for Point of Sale (POS retail) learning!

BEHIND-THE-SCENES HELPER:
We understand that people can be shy or unsure when starting out with volunteering. Don't worry! You can assist with  printing and mailing materials, overseeing ticket sales or raffles, general office duties, making sure membership brochures are out, the guest book is available, or dropping off posters in the community. There's plenty to keep busy with.
