2022 Hanukkah/Chaunkah/Khanikeh Party at the Heisler Homestead
This event is on Thursday, December 22 from 7-8:30pm at Etta & Ryan Heisler's House. Please fill out the form below to let us know you are coming.

IMPORTANT INFO: 
  • People of all ages and faith backgrounds are welcome. 
  • Come dressed for the weather. This is an outdoor party. We will have large fires available where you can warm up, as well as warm beverages to enjoy.
  • Please bring a folding or camp chair to sit on
  • We will provide mozzarella sticks and jelly donut holes as well as hot coffee, tea, hot cocoa, and cider. If you want to order a pizza to our house, or bring your own dinner to eat, you are most welcome.
  • Given the high rates of illness this season, PLEASE STAY HOME if you are not feeling well for any reason, even if you have tested negative for COVID/Flu/etc. We humbly request that people wear masks when indoors, and limit congregating indoors as much as possible.
ACCESSIBILITY:
The main activities will take place in our paved driveway or garage. However, there is uneven ground in the grassy areas on our yard that will be hard to see/navigate in the dark. There are two bathrooms available, they are NOT wheelchair or walker accessible. There WILL be a child's potty seat and stool available in the main floor bathroom. To enter our house there is one step up, and a step over a raised threshold.

EVENT TIMELINE:
  • 7:00 - Arrive, Nosh, Visit, Participate in Activities
  • 7:30 - Dramatic Reading of Herschel and the Hanukkah Goblins
  • 7:45 - Hanukkah 101 and Menorah/Chanukkiah lighting - BYO Menorah
  • 8:00 - Continue visiting. Optional Hanukkah Sing Along around the camp fire
 Around 730 we will listen to a dramatic reading of Herschel and the hanukkah goblins and light our menorahs. BYO menorah, candles, and camp chairs and dress warmly for the weather. Bring cash/coins for the tzedakah box, OR use a qr code to make a community donation to Community Action Network's Bryant Community Center. Masks required inside. Bathrooms available but not accessible to walkers and wheelchairs. This party will also be open to people outside the AARC community.
