Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 3:45 pm - 6:15 pm
Pay: $9 per hour
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Warriors will be assigned to a small group of elementary grade children during after-school time to improve their reading skills, build their reading habits and increase their understanding of and interest in STEM careers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in trainings and deliver reading and STEM activities
Provide after-school reading and STEM homework support for elementary students
Serve as a role model for elementary students
Support after-school staff with responsibilities for the after-school program
Report to work on-time and maintain a steady work schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be willing to learn reading and STEM activity strategies
Must be maintain personal academic performance by maintaining or improving your high school GPA to be at least 2.5 and 90% attendance for the current academic year
Must participate in professional development after-school, half-days, and
occasionally
on Saturday
Must be able to travel independently to your assigned program site (all sites are accessible by public transportation and bus passes are provided)
