Bureau Valley School District Needs Assessment (Title 1):  The purpose of ESSA Title I is to provide grants to school district, local educational agencies, to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging State academic achievement standards and State academic assessments.  In Bureau Valley we have used this grant primarily for K-5 reading and math instruction and Junior High technology (Chrome Books).
The district is required to complete an annual needs assessment for all ESSA revenue streams.
