Developmental FX is excited to announce that we will be offering the Hanen “More Than Words” program via telehealth in Fall 2022, led by our speech-language pathologist, Hannah Mellman Zax!

What is Hanen “More Than Words”?
Created specifically for parents of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, or other social communication difficulties, the More Than Words® Program provides caregivers with practical strategies for addressing your child’s specific needs, and building their communication and social skills during everyday routines and play.

Participation in Our Program
For you and your child to get the greatest benefits from the program, your full participation is necessary. The following outlines the commitment we ask parents to make. We ask you to:
* Attend all group sessions (with the exception of illness and family emergencies). If you are unable to attend a session, please let me know even if it is on the day of the session. Group sessions are parent only.
* At least one parent must commit to attending all 12 sessions (i.e., parents cannot trade off attending sessions).
* Participate in a Pre-Program Consultation, during which you and your child will meet with me so that I can learn more about your child and his or her communication skills.
* Participate in all three Video Feedback Visits. During these visits, you and your child will interact together while you use the strategies you have learned during the group sessions. I will record a few minutes of these interactions and then we will view and discuss the clip immediately afterwards. The parent who attends all of the group sessions must participate in all of the Video Feedback Visits.

If you feel that you are unable to participate fully in the program at this time, please consider waiting and participating at a later date.
