Expression of Interest
Cheshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, John Dwyer is on the lookout for community organisations and service providers who could help him to deliver services across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington.  The Commissioner is in the early stages of formulating a bid to the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) and the theme for applications is Focused deterrence.

Focused deterrence is an approach to violence reduction and it recognises that most serious violence is associated with a small group of people who are themselves very likely to be victims of violence, trauma, and extremely challenging circumstances.

As part of the planning process, the Commissioner would like to hear from community groups, organisations and service providers who are delivering or have a desire to deliver interventions or programmes targeted at reducing serious and violent crime.

At this stage, the Commissioner is looking for ideas and this is purely an expression of interest.  If the bid for funding was successful, all interventions and projects developed would be subject to a full procurement exercise to ensure transparency and fairness.
