The Louisiana Trust for Historic Preservation has recently launched a new educational video series to expand online resources to those interested in and practicing historic preservation.
Video categories will include How-to Guides, Profiles on Historic Communities and Sites, Preservation Tools, and Careers in the Field Interviews. Videos formats can range from recorded powerpoint presentations or in-person interviews and additional footage or media.
Video lengths should range from 5-15 minutes each or can be adapted into a series if appropriate.
Suggested topics or ideas:
- Working with historic materials or techniques
- Interpretive programs (signage, tours, art)
- Community or regional history (individual town or a significant corridor)
- Overview of architectural styles
- Implementing a preservation plan
- and many more
We want to highlight all types of stories and resources across the state of Louisiana and beyond.
If you have an idea, but not sure how to proceed, contact Will at
wprince@lthp.org or 225-930-0936.
Proposals are open on a running basis and will be scheduled throughout the year. A $150 stipend is available for your contribution and expertise in the material.
