Monday, December 7 @ 2:00-3:30PM
Join us on December 7, 2020 for "BUILDING BELONGING," part two of a virtual workshop series presented by Nancy S. Kirkpatrick, OhioNET.

We met with Nancy in July as she discussed how to begin to build a sense of inclusion and belonging in our libraries and organizations. This workshop takes us from talking to doing. We’ll examine characteristics and norms that might be getting in the way of building inclusion and strategize about how to change them. We encourage you to bring several stakeholders from your organization, so you can begin to address challenges you may be experiencing on your campus and walk away with the beginnings of a plan for real change.

Nancy S. Kirkpatrick is the Executive Director and CEO of OhioNET, a multi-type library consortium representing a diverse membership throughout Ohio and the region. She has over a decade of experience working with and in libraries, including as the Director of Library Services at Marian University Indianapolis. Before entering librarianship, she practiced non-profit law and advocacy.

An ALA Spectrum Scholar, she serves on the ALA Committee on Professional Ethics, the Spectrum Advisory Board, and the Diversity Research Grants Committee. Nancy also holds appointments to the MLIS Advisory Board for the Kent State University School of Information and the North American Library Advisory Board for Springer Nature.
