2022-2023 Rutgers NJSHP Membership Form
Hello everyone,

Thank you for your interest in joining Rutgers NJSHP! Please fill out this membership application form to become a member of NJSHP as well as join our mailing list!

The following is information about general responsibilities and goals for each committee:

1. Professional Affairs
- Communicates effectively and efficiently in a team setting, works hard, is creative and eager to learn
- Putting together presentations, drafting emails, organizing/hosting events, and networking with faculty, residents, directors, etc. to facilitate events/programs  
- Willing to help the committee launch new initiatives such as the FDA & ASHP Drug Shortages informational event and the Rising Residents shadowing program

2. Patient Outreach
- Be creative with event and outreach ideas
- Incorporate health literacy and educate both professionals and the general public with specific and relevant topics
- Collaborate with Public Relations committee members to put together flyers or presentations that can be used or handed out during patient outreach events
- Communicate effectively in a team setting and be eager to step up for projects
- Help run Healthy Eyes Healthy Lives diabetic retinopathy student run health clinic in Spring 2023!

3. Impact the Outcome
- Facilitate patient outreach events part of the Impact the Outcome initiative, in which we reach out to different populations of our nearby community (middle school students, high school students, seniors, disease populations, etc.) in order to provide an outlet for a variety of demographics
- Help run events and initiatives for underserved and underrepresented disease state and patient populations

4. Fundraising
- Participation/Attendance: Attend committee meetings and contribute
- Offer creativity and insight when posing potential fundraisers
- Work with Public Relations committee to post updates on fundraising opportunities/publicize events as well as possible
- Cooperate with Professional Affairs and Patient Outreach to develop joint projects
- Assist in organizing and planning NJSHP fundraising events
- Raise funds for NJSHP and donate towards healthcare-focused organizations (potential for philanthropic initiative for 2022-2023 academic year!) 
- Increase public awareness of NJSHP and NJSHP mission

5. Public Relations
- Increase NJSHP visibility within the EMSOP community
- Ensure all publicity material/advertisement utilized by NJSHP is upheld to high standards and align with the mission and them of NJSHP
- Actively promote all NJSHP initiatives, events, and programs through interacting with and sharing posts from all of the organization’s social media outlets
