The Overland Expo Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in partnership with, but NOT owned nor operated by, Overland Expo events.  

Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Your assistance at events will help spread the mission to Protect, Explore, and Educate!

Volunteer Positions for 2025

We're expanding volunteer positions for 2024! Available positions with the Overland Expo Foundation:

  • In-Booth Information: Working in the Foundation’s booth providing information about the Foundation, Ultimate Builds and selling raffle tickets.

  • Happy Hour Raffle Sales: Selling raffle tickets during Happy Hour Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening

  • Donation Collection and Organization: Organizing and collecting exhibitor donations for the raffle

  • Raffle Support Team: Assist during the Saturday evening raffle, must enjoy being in front of large crowds

  • Ultimate Overland Build Information: Provide information to attendees about the Ultimate Overland Builds, engage and present the vehicle and motorcycle

  • Pack it in, Pack it out Ambassador: Provide information on pack it in, pack it out principles. *New for 2025 - support on-site recycling efforts!

  • Kid's Education Program: Assist with Kid's Driving Course by teaching Overland Responsibly and Tread Lightly! principles.

BY APPLYING TO BE A VOLUNTEER, I AM AGREEING TO THESE TERMS, CONDITIONS, AND ASSUMPTION OF ALL RISKS:

I understand, acknowledge, and agree that:

I am volunteering for The Overland Expo Foundation (THE FOUNDATION), an Indiana 501c3.

The scope of my relationship with THE FOUNDATION is limited to a volunteer assignment, that my volunteer services are donated, and that I cannot expect compensation in return for providing my volunteer services.

My volunteer services to THE FOUNDATION may relate to additional parties, including, without limitation, Overland Expo, and its management company Emerald X, an California limited liability company (collectively, “Affiliates”).

Neither THE FOUNDATION nor its Affiliates will provide me any benefits traditionally associated with employment, including but not limited to salary, wages, fringe benefits, personal time off, medical benefits, and/or worker’s compensation insurance.

I am not entitled to, nor have I been promised, employment with THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates, and I will not be considered to be an employee of THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates for any purpose.

I may not represent my volunteer role with THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates as one of employment or employee/ employer to any third party.

I have no authority to bind THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates in any manner or to otherwise act as a representative of THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates in any capacity.

Without the express written consent of an authorized representative of THE FOUNDATION, I may not undertake any expenses on behalf of THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates, and I will not be reimbursed for any such expenses.

I am required to follow directions provided by THE FOUNDATION to ensure my safety and the safety of any other volunteers, directors, officers, employees, or other representatives of THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates and any third parties.

I may be required to attend training or orientation before volunteering for THE FOUNDATION.

Neither THE FOUNDATION nor its Affiliates assume any responsibility for or obligation to provide me with financial or other assistance including, but not limited to, medical, health, or disability benefits or insurance of any kind in the event of my injury, illness, or death, or damage to my property, which may occur or arise during the performance of the my volunteer service.

I expressly waive any such claim for insurance, compensation, or liability on the part of THE FOUNDATION or its Affiliates.

By accepting a volunteer position, I have agreed or will agree to and accept the Participant Release of Liability that releases from liability THE FOUNDATION and its affiliates.
