To assure you of our awareness of personal data privacy, EEF takes the opportunity to inform you of the following important information about our privacy policy formulated in compliance with the requirements of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance:
Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Data
1.The personal information collected from you will solely be used for the operation of the SEMCC 2023/24, including (i) communications between you and EEF; (ii) adjudication; and (iii) publicity.
2.The amount of personal information we collect from you is kept to the minimum and is necessary for the operation of the SEMCC 2023/24. Your reservation about providing us with the information we required may affect our communications with you and forbid us from processing your application and submission.
Transfer of Personal Data
3.For the purpose of administration, adjudication and publicity, your personal data may be transferred to organisations (e.g. the Environment and Ecology Bureau) and personnel responsible for organising the SEMCC 2023/24 as and when necessary.
Retention of Personal Data
4.We maintain and execute retention policies of records containing personal data to ensure personal data collected through SEMCC 2023/24 is not kept longer than is necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose for which the data is or is to be used. The personal information collected through the SEMCC 2023/24 will be deleted within 2 years after the deadline for submission of the competition, save for the information given in the competition projects.
Protection of Personal Data
5.We take appropriate steps to protect the personal data we hold against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure. Personnel in the SEMCC 2023/24 can only gain access to the personal information on a need-to-know basis.
Rights of Access and Correction
6.You have the right to request access to and correction of the personal information you submitted to us. Requests of data access and correction, and enquiries should be addressed to our EEF with contact information as follows: eefgreenproject@gmail.com.
