The Grade 1 & 2 learners have the opportunity to participate in a Day Camp to be held at Midstream Ridge Primary School.  The specifically tailored programme will be facilitated by Outdoor Adventures.

Time : 07:45 to 12:00
Cost : Depending on the numbers, R60-00 will be added to your account at the end of October.

During the event the facilitators of Outdoor Adventures will focus on the following outcomes:

✓ Learning experience whilst having fun,
✓ Group bonding,
✓ Teamwork,
✓ Team spirit,
✓ Setting and achieving of goals,
✓ Fun teambuilding experience,
✓ Bringing the team together,
✓ Sharing a common factor experience.
The facilitating team is comprised of a professional programme developer and qualified facilitators. The activities are adventurous yet safe. The best part of our programme is that everybody can participate, regardless of their fitness level or physical abilities.

The facilitating team takes the Covid-19 pandemic very seriously and has the following safety measures in place:
• Facilitators are screened upon arrival at the office before leaving for Midstream Ridge Primary School.
• Hands are sanitized upon arrival.
• Masks need to be worn at all times.
• A Covid-19 screening record is kept.

During event at Midstream Ridge Primary School:
• Our staff to report to the school reception for screening.
• All staff to wear masks for the duration of the day.
• Hands and equipment are sanitized before and during activities.

The Programme for 26 November 2021

08:00 Welcome, Introduction and Ice Breakers

08:30 Rotation 1: Various stations will be set up on the two sports fields and the two grades will swap sports fields halfway through the programme. At each station they will receive a badge that will serve as an entrance “passport.” Throwing of colour powder (mini colour fest) will take place during a rotation change.


Grade 1:
Flour power foot challenge – 5 stations
Puppet making – 5 stations
Ball Mania– 10 stations
Sack races – 10 stations

Grade 2:
Jumping Castles (including a jumping castle, combat obstacle course as well as 2 inflatable water slides) – 4 stations
Frame making – 5 stations
Flipper & Goggle challenge – 5 stations
Ceramic Painting – 2 stations

10:30 Rotation 2:

Grade 2:

11:15 Water Balloon Challenge

What is needed on the day:
•    Midstream Ridge Primary School Swimsuit
      (Girls must wear a full swimsuit!) (Boys must wear their PE shorts!)
•    Towel
•    Suntan lotion
•    Hat
•    Pocket money - There will be a tuck shop available on the day.

Please take note:
Extra 50g colour bags on sale @ R5.00 each for the colour fest.

Paramedics:
A paramedic will be on duty for the whole day.  
All paramedics are registered at the “Health Professions Council of South Africa”.
