In order to best serve our LAU special education students we provide live classes with special education Mentors and Paraprofessionals. These classes are part of the state requirements that are to be met for IEP services, these classes are not optional. Because there is no way for students in these classes to watch a recording or make up special education classes we encourage parents and students to make every effort to protect this time and for students to attend these classes regularly.

In the event that your student is unable to attend their regularly scheduled class, please fill out the form below to notify the Mentor that your student will not be in attendance.

All unexcused absences must be reported to the State and will be monitored for truancy. Parents may excuse a student's absences in the case of illness or other circumstances that the parent is aware of and approves of, or deems necessary.
