Elm Camp brings an opportunity for Elm makers & tool builders to gather, communicate and collaborate. Our goal is to strengthen and sustain the Elm ecosystem and community.
Over the last few years Elm has seen community-driven tools and libraries expanding the potential and utility of the Elm language, stemming from a steady pace of continued commercial and hobbyist adoption.
Elm Camp is an event geared towards reconnecting in-person and collaborating on the current and future community landscape of the Elm ecosystem that surrounds the Elm core language..
We recognise that there is great potential for progress and innovation in a creative, focused, in-person gathering. It’s been a long while since we’ve had this opportunity for folks who are investing in the future of Elm. We expect the wider community and practitioners to benefit from this collaborative exploration of our problems and goals.
Elm Camp is the first Elm Unconference. Our intention is to debut as a small, intimate, casual and low-stress event, paving the way for future Elm Camps across the world.

We have secured the option of 2 venues and are now seeking to decide which is the most suitable. Both are situated near a big city but rurally located which we think will enhance the community vibe and provide less distractions while we come together for these 3 days.
Dallund Castle (Odense, Denmark)
The main advantage of this venue is that we would have sole access to the whole castle and grounds. We would eat all of our meals together and have many spaces for breaking into small groups spontaneously. The main disadvantage of this venue is the cost.
Hotel Witek (Krakow, Poland)
The main advantage of this venue is the lower cost and that some folks may already be in Krakow that week for Lambda Days. The main disadvantage of this venue is that we would be guests in a hotel alongside other guests and therefore the spaces in between would not be as conducive to the magic we are looking for.
