Are you a bilingual and/or student studying a world language who wants to obtain a Seal of Biliteracy? The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given by a school district and state in recognition of students who have studied and attained proficiency in two or more languages by high school graduation. BPS invites all graduating seniors to sign up for an assessment (STAMP Assessment, WorldSpeak Assessment or portfolio) to determine your qualification. Please use this form to sign up and take either the STAMP Assessment, WorldSpeak Assessment or get more information around being assessed with portfolio for languages not included in the testing.
Once you sign up, more information will be sent out explaining the assessments. Potential dates for testing are at the end of March.
CHANGE REGARDING MCAS: NO MCAS REQUIRED! You must also have passed one ELA course up to now--no MCAS required for the class of 2022!
If you have a 4 or 5 on an AP Language Exam (Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Spanish), you have already qualified and do not need to take an additional assessment in that language.
If you have any questions, please contact Modern Languages Program Director Mrs. Kelley at
