If you're reading this form you are probably interested in joining one of Dondrite's legendary committees.* Great! Every committee wants new members so you are more than welcome! Although each committee is unique, they are all fun and give you the chance to channel your creativity and learn something along the way. Because of practical reasons, we try to have a minimum and a maximum number of members per committee. Just imagine scheduling weekly meetings with 41 people, you get the gist. Therefore we ask you to list the committees you want to join in order of choice. We will try to place everyone at their first choice, but this may not always be possible. Depending on the number of sign-ups, we may even form new committees! Here are the current committees you can sign up to:
Travel: these sweethearts enjoy long walks on the beach and therefore organise at least one trip of several days abroad** that is filled with culture, fun and science. Next to that they organise several smaller trips throughout the year like hitchhiking adventures and day trips within/close to the Netherlands. So bring your towel and jump aboard!
Synapsium: these adorable and versatile artisans spend all their energy on one glorious tradition: The Synapsium. This annual symposium is organised completely by students since 392 BC.*** Now it's your turn, so take this chance to give your spin to it! Synapsium is an amazing opportunity to be part of organising a symposium before you even graduate!
Scribe: this group of creative geniuses is everywhere and knows everything. No one knows how they do it really but whatever goes on around here is reported by them each month in the illustrious Dondrite News. And if that wasn't enough, their pens create a masterwork at the end of the year, in our very own yearbook. And now you can be a part of producing this magic! If you are in anyway creative or interested in journalism we recommend joining.
Education: the ambitious thinkers of this committee can't get enough of neuroscience and therefore organise all sorts of events that relate to our studies, all year long. Do you want to debate, organise lectures, scientific movie-nights, panels, study groups and what not? Then this committee is your perfect match! Join up and help Dondrites get even smarter than we already are.
Activity: this energetic crew is the first committee you came across, for they organise the introduction events. They organise all sorts of events, at minimum twice a month. Some are big and some are small. Some are cultural and some are of a more physical nature, but all are incredibly fun. If galas and drinks are your thing, you should jump right in!
Lustrum: In 2022 we have a special Lustrum Committee to organise birthday events for Dondrite! If you feel like just trying out a committee for a semester then Lustrum is the one for you.
Board: this tight knit gang oversee all of the Dondrite activities! Twice a year the Board hold a general assembly where new members can be signed in. If you're more of a supervisor than an organisor then maybe The Board is the committee for you.
The last thing we want to mention is that you don't need any previous experience to sign up for any committee. If you're motivated, we will show you the ropes. So hesitate no more and sign up!
