If accepted your payment submission must include a SIGNED waiver of liability. Single huts for this event are approximately 6’ x 10’. Vendors are allowed to sell only items listed on this application unless otherwise approved. Subleasing of hut/event space is prohibited.
If you are selected for this event only you may sell and occupy the space with the items listed on this application. All products must be kept within your hut space, items are permitted to be displayed in front of huts as long as walkways and other huts are not obstructed.
Absolutely NO screws, nails and other items that will alter the huts are prohibited. Any repairs required due to vendor damaging hut will be the financial responsibility of the vendor. Please keep in mind we are partners with the City of Ottawa, they own the huts, we would like to be able to continue this event. Destruction or damaging of city property may result in this event being cancelled. We suggest using 3M hooks/tape to secure items to the walls. All hooks/attachments are to be removed at the end of the event. Vendors are responsible for providing their own heat, tables, seating and lighting.
We will provide decorative lighting outside each hut, we do not provide lighting for popup tent spaces.
All music and entertainment will be provided by event coordinators, please do not play loud music from your hut/space.
Electric, Torpedo or any type of open flame heaters are not allowed in or around any hut. Only propane heaters are permitted. Each vendor must have a minimum of 100’ of outdoor commercial electrical cord, 12 gauge. We do not provide any cords from electrical boxes to huts, please plan accordingly. Each hut vendor must have one ABC rated fire extinguisher in their hut per Ottawa Fire Department.
Vendors are responsible for reporting and paying all sales tax according to the Illinois Department of Revenue requirements.
This is a rain, snow, or shine event. No refunds will be given due to weather, lack of vendor participation or other unforeseen events. No Show vendors will be dismissed from the current event, all future events, and forfeit all payments made for hut or space rental regardless of circumstances.
Setup and opening; vendors will be permitted to set up their huts one day prior to the event, in this case huts will be open on each Thursday before the event from 9am—3pm. Huts and popups must be fully ready for sales and ready for all inspections (food, city electrical/fire, etc) by 2pm on each Friday. Huts must be open during the entire event, early closing or break down is prohibited and may result in vendor dismissal from this event.
Vendors selling any food or beverage products are responsible for obtaining proper certification & licenses from the LaSalle County Health Department. Food truck vendors are required to obtain a city food truck permit through the City of Ottawa.
Feather flags are prohibited per city ordinance.
All huts must be free of trash, debris and product by Sunday at 8pm. Vendors selling consecutive weekends may leave their products in the hut or popup at their own risk. All garbage must be taken with you at the end of the event. DO NOT leave boxes, bags, etc. piled up by city waste receptacles or outside huts.
