Pregnancy and birth are normal, but they can also be intimidating. Give yourself the best chance at success (whatever that looks like for you) by taking a quality childbirth education class.
This comprehensive class explores Lamaze International’s Six Healthy Birth Practices, offering evidence-based, empowering education so that you can make informed decisions throughout your pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Over the length of the course, students will learn about and discuss the following topics:
US birth history and culture and how that affects birth today
Pregnancy, anatomy, typical gestation
Labor
Birth
Warning signs during pregnancy and postpartum
Comfort measures
Pain medication options
Common interventions
Cesareans
Postpartum
Newborn care
Newborn feeding
Decision making
By the end of the class, you should expect to feel confident in your innate ability to give birth, have a community of fellow learners to continue the journey with beyond class, and have lots of fun along the way!
Note: This class should not be considered medical advice. It is for educational and informational purposes only.
