DPO Election Observers: Multnomah County 2020

Thank you for completing this short questionnaire, which we designed to gather information about volunteers willing to serve as Election Observers in Multnomah County during the 2020 General Election. It should take about 10 minutes to complete this form.

If you have any questions at all, though, please get in touch with Joel Corcoran, the Coordinator for Multnomah County, at 503-381-5251 or joel.corcoran@gmail.com

What is your name?
What is your mailing address?
What phone number should we call if we need to reach you right away?
If you will be bringing a mobile phone with you when you volunteer, what is that mobile phone number?
What email address should we write to if we need to share extensive information with you?
Even though you were required to provide an email address to access this form, we want to confirm which email you would prefer us to use when contacting you. Some people use a "dummy email" address when filling out online forms in order to protect the personal email addresses they use most often.
Do you prefer to be contacted by email, phone, or text message?
Do you prefer to be contacted by email, phone, or text message?
Do you have any previous experience as an election observer?
If so, please summarize your experience, the elections you observed and which organization you volunteered with (unless you observed on your own). If you have no experience at all, that is quite alright -- we will still do our best to find you some volunteer opportunities. We ask this question so we can group together various volunteers with different levels of experience during our volunteer shifts.
Have you completed the Election Observer training?
If you have not yet completed the training, you must do so prior to volunteering as an Election Observer.
When are you generally available to volunteer?
We'd like to get an initial sense of when you will be available to volunteer now. We will start scheduling volunteers for specific shifts around the middle of October. For this question, "mornings" are 8:00 a.m. to Noon, "afternoons" are Noon to 4:00 p.m., and "evenings" are 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.  And please check all time periods you are available. If you are interested in volunteering at a specific time, please note that in your comments in the last question.
Can you volunteer as a drop box observer?
A "drop box observer" is someone who regularly stops by to check on one or a few ballot drop boxes scattered around Multnomah County. We ask these observers to take a good look at each drop box to ensure that it is locked, secure, and not overflowing with ballots.
