FLAN Committee Member Volunteer Interest Form
Are you interested in making a difference in the Stanford FLI alumni community? Do you want to connect with other awesome FLI alumni who are working to make meaningful positive change? Can you come to at least one FLAN committee meeting a month for the next six months? Then sign up to join as a Committee Member Volunteer! 

As a FLAN Committee Member, you will partner with FLAN Board members and Committee leads to help FLAN achieve its mission of celebrating and supporting the Stanford FLI alumni community. Joining as a Committee Member is a great pathway to future Board service and volunteers are supported in their personal and professional goals along the way.

Interest in joining a FLAN Committee
Time commitment: at least one monthly committee meeting for at least the next 6 months, plus time working on selected projects. Estimated 2 hours/month investment. 

Committee Descriptions:

Community Building: Programming and initiatives to build the sense of community among FLI alumni and share stories relating to the FLI identity.  Sample projects include social happy hours, FLAN Cafes, Reunion Homecoming events, and social spaces to build community over shared experiences.
Current monthly meeting time/day: Monthly on the 3rd Tuesday, 5-6:30pm PT via Zoom

Communications & Tech: Develop and maintain FLAN’s social media and website presence and content, creation of a FLAN newsletter, managing online social groups.  Sample projects include content for FLAN’s Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn accounts, the website, and our newsletter.
Current monthly meeting time/day: Monthly on the 1st Thursday, 4-5pm PT via Zoom

Education & Enrichment: Programming and initiatives to provide education and professional development to the FLI alumni community.  Sample projects include networking sessions, webinar series with financial literacy topics, and career-focused panels and speakers.
Current monthly meeting time/day: Monthly on the 4th Wednesday, 6-7:30pm PT via Zoom

Membership & Volunteer Management: Create and implement efforts to increase FLAN membership and awareness within the greater alumni community, curate the FLAN member experience. Sample projects include Membership Drives, FLI Grad, and building out our Committee Member Volunteer Program.
Current monthly meeting time/day: Monthly on the 1st Tuesday, 4-5pm PT via Zoom
