4-H Golden Clover Application 2022
2022 California 4-H Golden Clover Awards  
Deadline: September 5, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.  

Submitted materials become the property of the California State 4-H Office and may be used for marketing and public relations purposes.  
 
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be members, volunteers, groups, or program staff. 4-H members must be at least 9 years old and currently enrolled    
4-H volunteers must be currently enrolled  
4-H groups: (groups are two or more 4-H members, volunteers, or 4-H program staff working together on a project, activity or event)  
4-H program staff and academics (academics are only eligible for the Staff Team Award).  

AWARD  
The Golden Clover award consists of a small monetary award, a Golden Clover medallion and label pin. Awardees will also be recognized on the State 4-H Website. Group recipients receive one monetary award and one medallion for the whole group, and one pin for each member of the team.
 
PROCESS
Applications must be submitted by September 5, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. All required information must be included.  
   
You will be asked to describe the nominee's 4-H involvement and how they meet the objectives of the applicable category. Nominators may provide up to three (3) URLs for supporting documents, videos or audios. Please have these links ready before you begin the survey.
   
The California State 4-H Office typically notifies recipients in January 2023. Individuals and groups may apply or be nominated in multiple categories through separate applications. Individuals and groups may win in only one category per year. Individuals or groups may apply or be nominated in any applicable category. Individuals and groups may only win once in a category every three years. Individuals are eligible to win as an individual and as part of a group in the same year. The selection committee reserves the option of moving applications to another category if they feel it would be a better match. All available awards may not be given each year. Awards depend on funding, application evaluation and benchmarks.  
 
RECIPIENTS
Upon notification of award, selected individuals and groups should be prepared to provide the following:   Social Security Number (for individuals) or Tax Identification Number (EIN) of the related County or Sectional Council (for groups) Photograph(s) of the individual or group  Awards will be sent after all required information and materials are submitted to the State 4-H Office and typically by January following the award year.
