Blair Proficiency Testing Application 

Blair Certification testing for 2024 will open up for applications on April 17th and will close July 15th. No late applications will be accepted. Please note that items required for testing will be due on July 20th and no late submissions will be accepted (for example videos, CBCT or xray images, or case reports).

Prerequisites for Blair Certification

The Blair Technique Proficiency Certification accomplishment will assure doctor and patient alike that the “certified” chiropractor has gained skills and passed the testing procedures established by the Committee on Technique and Instruction and Certification of the Blair Chiropractic Society.  Below are the pre-requisites to test for each level of proficiency as approved by the Board of Directors in April 2023: 

Blair Student Certification Prerequisites
  1. Be a student actively enrolled in an accredited Chiropractic College.
  2. Be a student member of the Blair Chiropractic Membership Association
  3. Attendance of at least one Primary Blair Technique seminar series given by a Certified Blair Instructor or attendance of an approved Blair elective course.
Faculty Certification Prerequisites
  1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in teaching and/or practice.
  2. Attendance of 1 full three-part Blair Technique seminar series given by a Certified Blair Instructor.
  3. Either be a full-time faculty member of a chiropractic college or part time chiropractic college instructor while also in private practice.
Level 1 Proficiency Prerequisites
  1. Be in active chiropractic practice for one year (or equivalent part time practice).
  2. Be a full dues-paying member of the Blair Chiropractic Membership Association for one year.
  3. Attendance of at least one full three-part Blair Technique seminar series given by a Certified Blair Instructor.
Level 2 Blair Proficiency Certification Prerequisites
  1. Three years of full-time chiropractic practice (or equivalent part-time practice) using the Blair Technique on at least 80% of patients.
  2. Be a full dues-paying member of the Blair Chiropractic Membership Association for the previous three years.
  3. Attendance of at least 2 full three-part Blair Technique seminar series given by 2 different Certified Blair Instructors.
  4. Have held a Level 1 Blair Certification for at least one year.
  5. Possession of or access to Blair protractoclamps and stereo x-ray equipment or other similar imaging systems such as CBCT which will produce similar articular data needed for proper Blair analysis.
  6. Utilization of both prone leg checks and paraspinal pattern analysis on at least 80% of patients.
Blair Instructor Prerequisites
  1. 5 years of full-time chiropractic practice (or equivalent part-time practice) using the Blair Technique on at least 80% of patients.
  2. Be a full dues-paying member of the Blair Chiropractic Membership Association for the previous 5 years.
  3. Attendance of at least 3 full three-part Blair Technique seminar series given by different Certified Blair Instructors.
  4. Have held a Level 2 Blair Certification for at least one year.
  5. Possession of or access to Blair Protracto clamps and stereo x-ray equipment or other similar imaging systems such as CBCT which will produce similar articular data needed for proper Blair analysis.
  6. Utilization of both prone leg checks and paraspinal pattern analysis on at
    least 80% of patients.
