BFB #OneWorld Choir is one of the activities under BFB #OneWorld Program. This program is about promoting diversity, inclusion and friendships among children, youth and parents through collaborating with immigrant communities, parent groups, and schools. In this program we also focus on promoting support and advocacy for individuals with special education needs and their families, who are from the immigrant community that has been overlooked and underserved.

BFB#OneWorld Choir is aiming to demonstrate an inclusive practice through singing together with effort to respect and support every participant. 

We are looking for student volunteers (12 years old above) with diverse backgrounds to create an opportunity for all of us to learn from each other!  Student volunteers could 1) Sing in the choir (In person); 2) Pair up with the special needs kids and support them to be involved (In person); 3) Play an instrument for the choir and/or be a member of the #OneWorld youth orchestra in the concerts (group practice in person and independent practice at home needed), etc. 

The choir rehearsal calendar will generally follow the school year calendar with practice held on Friday evenings. A commitment of about 40 volunteer hours is required, including the trainings we developed for all students volunteers with BFB.
