The 𝗭𝗲𝗽𝗵𝘆𝗿 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 shall be given to an individual with demonstrated history of experience in the field who embodies the Zephyr Principles, and who embraces the Zephyr mission of advancing rigorous transportation and land use decision-making for the public good by advocating for and supporting improved travel analysis and facilitating its implementation.

⇒ Someone who has selflessly contributed to the good of the industry through the body of their work (specific to the 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱);
⇒ Collegial and collaborative, investing in shared technical knowledge and community assets in order to reach common goals (e.g. open access papers, code, documentation, and data);
⇒ Generous with their time such as investment in mentorship, community-assets, and other volunteer roles;
⇒ Respectful and thoughtful in their interactions; and
⇒ Goal-oriented towards the public good and usefulness, even if the pathway is unconventional.

These awards focus on a specific research project or effort (i.e., accomplishment) rather than an individual/team effort or track-record.

The 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 shall be given in recognition of a project that has a proven positive impact on the transportation and/or land use decision-making field that meets the majority of the following criteria.

The 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 shall be given in recognition of a project that has a potential for a positive impact on the transportation and/or land use decision-making field that meets the majority of the following criteria.

⇒ Has been broadly adopted or implemented in practice (for the 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱) or has been implemented, adopted or applied in practice at least once (for the 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱);
⇒ Improved the approach, skills, capability of transportation and land use decision-making process (specific to the 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱);
⇒ Whose methodology, formula, design, etc. are freely accessible to the public
⇒ Promotes multilateral collaboration; and
⇒ Advances the travel analysis field for the public good.
