The elective choices for sixth grade are Band, Choir, Odyssey of the Mind or the Elective Wheel.

All 6th graders will have 7 class periods. ELA, Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies, PE and an elective. The core classes are chosen for you based on teacher recommendation, assessment data and end of the year grades. All advanced courses will require you to meet the criteria for the course. Students requiring both Intensive Reading and Intensive Math, will replace either have PE or an elective.

Beginning Band: No experience required. Course includes mandatory concerts.

Choir: No experience required. Course includes mandatory competitions/fees and other required events.

Odyssey of the Mind: For students in advanced classes. Course includes mandatory competitions, after-school practices and other required events.

Elective Wheel: There are 4 different courses throughout the year, one every nine weeks. Courses for next year have not been finalized, but previous courses have included Art, Technology, Study Skills, Cool Math, etc.
