Hi Pitt Community!
As of March 11th, Pitt announced that students, if possible, should move out of their dorms as soon as possible and all classes will be moved online or other alternative learning methods until the end of the Spring Semester.
As members of a University community a lot of us, whether students or faculty, find joy, community, and identity through our association with the University and academic world. As college students, this transition from a highly social and generally supportive environment to social distancing is a massive shift and can be difficult for a lot of us.
This is tough but we’ll get through it by supporting and caring for each other. The purpose of this form is to ensure we continue caring for each other and creating community as classes are moved online and our community spreads out.
We are conditioned to prioritize our individual success, to keep our needs and emotions to ourselves, that vulnerability is weakness. The purpose is to break down those ideas so that we may care for each other. Being vulnerable and honest allows us to care for each other in this time of uncertainty. We encourage you to honest and vocal about your needs and capacity on this form so we can all support each other.
We encourage all members of the Pitt community, students, faculty, staff, and alumni to fill out this form. This is a tough and uncertain time for all of us but we don't have to go through this alone.
This form is in addition to our spreadsheet (

take good care,
Pitt Mutual Aid
