Jesse McCurdy Beekeeper of the Year Award
This award is dedicated to our founding member, Jesse McCurdy, for his love of beekeeping and his willingness to teach others about bees. He was the original recipient of this award in 2015. The purpose of this award is to recognize a beekeeper within our local association who has gone above and beyond in promoting and caring for bees. The following guidelines will be used to select the recipient of this award.
Guidelines for Selecting Beekeeper of the Year
The nominee shall exhibit the following qualities for consideration. The Jesse McCurdy Beekeeper-of-the-Year should:
1. Exemplify good beekeeping practices;
2. Promote the education of beekeeping;
3. Have not received this award within the last 5 years;
4. Be a current member of the Heart Of Georgia Beekeepers Association; and
5. Attend those meeting on a regular basis.
Nominations will be taken until the end of October. This form will close on 10/31/2022 at midnight.
