Danube+ Peace with Nature
Serbia - Belgrade and Subotica, 11th to 17th of August 2022
This is a hybrid event, some participants will be with us in person, for all other we will open online platform for participation (online participation is free of charge).

We have some limited number of placements in person without covered traveling expences but with accommodation and meals in Subotica, 13th to 16th of August.

We have also a few placements for people interested to join us and to pay participation fee. It is two solution: Danube+ Belgrade and Subotica, 11th to 17th of August, 499 EUR and Danube+ Subotica 13th to 16th of August 249 EUR.

Participants from Austria, Bulgaria, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Romania and other Balkan and Danube countries sharing the Danube waters are strongly encouraged to apply. Global applicants also welcome. 
The Danube+ Peace with Nature network will provide participants with a collaboration platform of national and international relationships and access to thought leaders, innovators, and problem-solvers from the Danube countries that can be convened to propose solutions to environmental and climate change challenges.
Main goals:
- Create the Danube+ Cooperation Platform for Building Prosperity in the region by equipping and training young professionals to envision and sustainably lead the future of the Danube Region and wider.
- Connecting an active civic network, centred around water and the environment, in the Danube+ Balkans region (especially influencing the Western Balkans Countries) and
- Start the Movement to Protect, Restore, and Regenerate water and natural systems by creating solutions, innovations, and policy approaches

If you are 20-32 years old and interested in one or more Danube+ Isues:

- Water: nature-based solutions, water treatment, monitoring technologies, and integrated water resources management as solutions for flood prevention, water quality, and climate resilience. 
- Natural Heritage:  digitization that aligns with traditional ecological knowledge for smart agriculture and rural development.
- Environmental Governance: mainstreaming environmental education at all levels with the support of community science.
- Climate Change: Improve education, awareness-raising and capacity on climate change action; develop recommendations for regional climate and energy strategies.
