This Recommendation Form should be completed by individuals providing a recommendation for a Bernie Sholarship Awards Program applicant.  This form must be completed and submitted NO LATER THAN APRIL 1st, for the applicant to be considered by The Bernie Scholarship Awards Program.

About the Program
The Bernie Scholarship Awards Program ("The Bernie") is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.  Since its inception in 1995, the goal of The Bernie is to help tenants of subsidized rental housing in Montgomery County, Maryland, attend college or pursue workforce development training.  The Bernie provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors and adults.

Recommendation Forms CAN NOT be completed by a relative or personal friend.  The Bernie is seeking your knowledge of the applicant's drive and commitment to succeed in improving their educational skills.  

The Bernie is funded by tax deductible private contributions and administered by an independent Board of Directors.  For more information go to: www.berniescholarships.org.
