Danville Schools Food service is committed to providing high quality meals to your students while they learn at home. Food Service will offer breakfast and hot lunches daily beginning August 27, 2020. Meals will be offered from 10:30 – 1:30 at Toliver Intermediate, 209 N. Maple Avenue and Hogsett Primary, 300 Waveland Avenue. You may choose either site and meals will be available for all enrolled students at any Danville Independent School.
Danville Schools are fully CEP. That provision allows us to provide meals to all our students at no cost to our families. Please note the following changes as schools are required to shift from our Summer Feeding Program to National School Lunch (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP):
-We are not permitted to provide meals to all children 18 and under.
-Meals are provided only for students who are enrolled in the Danville Independent School District during the 20-21 school year. Students must participate in learning daily in order to be eligible to receive a meal.
-You may notice a slight variation in the meal pattern offered in each grade level. This is necessary to provide the required calories and nutrients at each grade level.
-If and when the state announces changes that we will again be able to offer to all children 18 and under (not just our enrolled students), we will notify all parties.
If you plan on receiving meals at one of our sites, please fill out the questionnaire below to help us provide quicker and safer pickup. We will be providing students with a color-coded tag that will make this process more efficient.
