Topics of the Inclusion of Disadvantaged Youth in Volunteering Projects webinar:

- How and why are volunteering projects especially useful for disadvantaged youth?

- How do these projects help them grow?

- How can we involve and engage disadvantaged youth in volunteering projects?

- What can we do for their inclusion, how can we overcome the barriers of cultural differences, language and low self-esteem resulting from their backgrounds?

At Élményakadémia (Academy of Experience)- we have been working with disadvantaged youth with the method of volunteering based non-formal education for 12 years. Our mission is to promote personal development and social integration through developing social and personal skills and attitudes of participants by using outdoor activities and applying the methodology of experiential education.

Join us for a crucial conversation on the involvement of the most vulnerable youth in volunteering.

Main topics will include:

  • how to reach at-risk youth with such projects;

  • what needs to be done so they can get involved;

  • how trauma informed approach has affected our work (through the work or Bruce Perry and Bessel von der Kolk)

  • how we integrate the solution focused approach to help our youth grow

  • our most recent experiences in involving at risk youth from different countries in international volunteering projects and mobilities through the Erasmus+ program.....
