Stone Soup Culinary Institute Application

The Culinary Institute is a job training program that will prepare students for various cooking positions in the diverse food service field.

Students will receive a Food Handlers License, a ServSafe Certificate, and job skills and references for securing work in the emerging food culture here in Franklin County.

  • Interested in starting a new career or advancing your current culinary skills

Are you able to commit to attending this program for a 12 week period? The next Culinary Cohort runs from March 19 2024 until June 19th 2024 *
Here is what we are asking of you: 

20 hours of in person class and internship time each week: Tuesday through Friday (9am - 2pm) and a four (4) hour shift on Friday or Saturday that are internship/externship hours with either Stone Soup or a local restaurant

Additional reading, videos, knife skill practice and/or mock tests as necessary. 

Professional attitude and a willingness to learn.

Commitment to show up on time.

Commitment to 100% attendance.

Physically able to stand for 4-6 hours of time and to lift 50 pounds.

Cooperate with COVID 19 safety practices (masking indoors) as needed.
