You are (likely to be) invited to a Vidi interview, during which you must get your expert knowledge and innovative ideas across to a panel that consists mainly of non-experts.
During this two-day training, our experienced trainers will help increase your fluency in the languages of content, visuals, tonality, and posture.
The training is set in a safe, interdisciplinary environment. The trainers offer high quality coaching and personalized feedback.
You will be working on:
the clarity and convincingness of your message
the speed, articulation and intonation by which you share this message
your facial expressions, use of hands and posture that underline your
message
the use of props and the content of slides that support your message
Programme:
During day 1 you will be practicing the four languages of content, visuals, tonality and posture through both self-reflective and interactive assignments. You will enhance the quality and accessibility of your core message. You will strengthen your message both verbally and non-verbally, working on structure and convincingness, posture and voice.
During day 2 you will get the opportunity to test your newly acquired knowledge. You will practice your presentation skills and rehearse the Q&A session. You will train how to deal with tricky and potentially derailing questions.
During this training, a Vidi laureate will come and share her reflections on the actual interview, and how she prepared for it.

Practicalities:
- Max 12 participants per writing course
- When fully booked, you will be informed about your position on the waiting list
- The date/moment of registration determines admission/ position on the waiting list
- To finalize your registration: please provide the project code against which TD can charge its 500,- fee
Preparation and deadlines assignments:
In order to participate, it is required to meet the deadline of sending in draft versions of:
- 1 powerpoint slide (picture or symbol) that visually sums you up: ‘that's me!’
- 1 powerpoint slide (picture or symbol) that visually represents the essence of your Vidi project
- the summary of your Vidi proposal (1b in NWO format)
The trainers will discuss the details of the assignments of day 2 with you, but in view of the preparation time needed you should know that on day 2 you will rehearse your Vidi presentation (the length of which, depending on the field, will be between 5 and 10 minutes) as well as the Q&A session.
