Are you interested in joining the Audit and Finance Committee?

This committee will assist the Board in carrying out its financial oversight responsibilities by performing monitoring, reviewing and advisory functions; Committee members should have financial background or experience.

Time commitment: 1 hour per month

Are you interested in joining the Governance Committee?

This committee will assist the Board in developing, implementing, and reviewing the bylaws and governance policies of HDSC; Committee members should have a basic understanding of the requirements of effective Board governance and related issues of organizational effectiveness. 

Time commitment: 1 hour per month

Are you interested in joining the Long Term Player Development (LTPD)?

This committee will assist in developing long-term and short-term plans for HDSC Technical programs; evaluate the technical programs on an annual basis and provide recommendations to the Board of Directors; monitor and oversee the coaching and player development activities offered by HDSC; draft a yearly technical budget for consideration by the Audit and Finance Committee; Committee members should have a background in coaching or player development. 

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month

Are you interested in joining the Risk Management committee?

This committee will assist the Board and its various Committees in fulfilling its duty of care with respect to the safety and integrity of the operations of HDSC; Make policy recommendations regarding risk management; Committee members should have expertise in law, financial management, or particular risk areas such as harassment, insurance or labor practices. 

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month

Are you interested in joining the Tournament Committee?

2024 will see the return of the annual Ratomir tournament. This committee will plan, organize and recruit volunteers; as well as support staff to ensure everything is in place to run a successful event.

Time commitment: 2-3 hours per month

Are you interested in joining the EIDA (Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Accessibility Committee?

This is a new committee is designed to support our community voices, establish targets and best practices for outreach to marginalized people, groups, and communities and build a successful strategy to ensure we provide and promote safe and inclusive environments for all; search for grant opportunities; assist in developing support and funding for newcomers.

Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month
