WAS Second Grade Chorus
Dear Parents/Guardians:

I am pleased to announce that the Walnut Avenue School 2nd Grade Chorus will resume rehearsals the week of January 27th. In chorus, students come together as a team to create and experience vocal music. Along the way we learn musicianship skills, performance practices, and how to work together to achieve a common goal. Your child is invited to participate in all of the music, movement, and fun! All that is required is a love of singing and the ability to attend early morning rehearsals.

Our chorus will meet every Monday and Tuesday morning from 7:55–8:35 AM in the library as follows:

                                                   Monday – Scepkowski/Ritzer (beginning 1/27)
                                                   Tuesday – Jackson/Grogan (beginning 1/28)

Attendance at each of these weekly rehearsals is essential if your child is to develop his/her fullest singing potential and realize the maximum benefit from the choral singing experience. Students are expected to be on time and present at all rehearsals. Excused absences include illness (absent from school), doctors appointments, and family emergencies. Please contact me if your child will miss a rehearsal. A complete rehearsal schedule for the fall will be sent home soon.

As a culminating activity, the WAS Chorus will perform a spring concert on the evening of May 12th. More details about the concert will be sent home as we get closer to the performance. I am looking forward to making music with your child this year!
