Volunteer Registration: Atlanta Summer Food Program

In Atlanta many school children and their families continue to face barriers to food security and we expect that to increase during the summer months. Over the summer months, CARE is partnering with Atlanta Public Schools, CHRIS 180, Concrete Jungle, Purpose Built Schools Atlanta and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta to ensure community members have increased food access. Families can sign up to receive food through deliveries and walk-up distributions at no cost.

We're looking for volunteers to support the effort alongside our educators and community support professionals. This will ensure that those facing food insecurity will have the resources necessary to support their family.

Volunteer Responsibilities

Packing and Sorting Food
Employees will be required to unload/load trucks with food parcels, sort food by item and quality, and pack food into delivery packages.
