About VietRISE
VietRISE, founded in 2018, is a community-based organization based in Garden Grove, CA. Our mission is to advance social justice and empower low-income Vietnamese and immigrant communities in Orange County. We build leadership and create systematic change through organizing, narrative change, cultural empowerment, and civic engagement.

Civic engagement is a tool we use as a long term strategy to mobilize, engage, and empower our communities. We use it to uplift issues during election cycles but to primarily build the capacity of community members to be well-informed, develop leadership, build relationships, and utilize multiple tools for positive social change. We use it to build the capacity of the community to lead and advocate for their own needs.
Volunteer Information
We are looking for volunteers to conduct door-to-door outreach to Vietnamese voters in Little Saigon during this 2022 November General election. 

All volunteers will be trained in California proposition information, canvassing, and will learn/receive civic engagement tools and community-building skills that we encourage to be taken back to their respective communities so we can continue to advance social justice and community empowerment in Little Saigon.

  • Field: Door-to-door canvassing to inform Vietnamese residents on the 2022 ballot measures, remind residents to vote in the 2022 November General election, and answer questions regarding the ballot measures and how/where to vote.

Volunteers will be asked to conduct short questionnaires with residents. Specifically, questions will pertain to the 2022 General Election, ballot propositions in California, and voting. We will provide training, canvassing materials, and scripts. Can you commit to this? *
