As a way to celebrate social work, the Alaska Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers selects recipients for the Social Worker of the Year, Citizen of the Year, Legislator of the Year, and BSW and MSW Students of the Year awards. We do this to recognize and honor individuals for their contributions to the profession of social work and to society. Nominations may only be made by NASW-AK Chapter members.
Many people may meet the criteria (found here:
https://naswak.socialworkers.org/Events/Annual-Conference)
However, the Committee can only choose from the nominations it receives. Get your nomination(s) in as soon as possible.
Social Worker of the Year
Public Citizen of the Year
Legislator of the Year
Students of the Year (BSW & MSW)
Agency/Department of the Year
You can only nominate one person per category, and one person per form, but simply complete this form again for each nomination (up to 6 total) you wish to make.
Nominations must be received by January 31, 2023 and will be awarded in-person at the Biennial Conference held in Anchorage, AK in September 2023.
