since the places are limited we invite you to fill this quick form aimed at learning more about who you are, your experiences, your field of study and work in order to participate to the workshop “Satellite Data – Monitoring pollution with ESA Sentinel”.
> WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
You'll learn about the European Space Agency's Copernicus program and the importance of open data to raise awareness about the correlation of rising T° and urban heat islands due to concentration of NO2 caused by human activity.
Participants will be able to directly experiment to get raw data from the ESA repositories and process them with Snap, the ESA software for Copernicus Sentinel data processing and analysis.

Basic understanding of Python

The workshop will be held in a blended format: online via Zoom and, if the sanitary measures will allow it, on-site at OpenDot.
The workshops will be free under subscription (20pp max) as part of the DD - Distributed Design project, funded by the Creative Europe program.

“Satellite Data” is the first workshop of a series of 3 in the spirit of New European Bauhaus: “Climate Data” offers advanced training to foster cross-disciplinary practices to look at the sustainability challenges providing tools to develop new skills at the intersection of data science, design and technology.
