Who this survey is for: Everyone age 18 and up is welcome to take this survey. The purpose of the survey is to collect data about the experiences of people who feel sensations of nonhuman body parts, for example, wings or a tail. Some call these supernumerary phantom limbs, otherlimbs, or astral limbs, though you may have other preferences for the words you use for your own experiences. If you haven't had those experiences, you can participate in this survey too. This survey was made for people who call themselves otherkin, therianthrope, furry, or any other potentially alterhuman or nonhuman identity. If you don't describe yourself with any of those words, you can participate in this survey too.

Who is running this survey and why: The person running this survey is Orion Scribner (they/them), an otherkin/therianthrope who has been making projects about these communities since 2005. You can contact me at this email address, which uses the same handle as I use on most social media platforms: frameacloud@gmail.com I will use the results in my panel at an Internet-based convention later this year (OtherCon 2024), and in other future research projects.

Caution: Several questions ask in detail about pain and discomfort. A few questions mention sex. You have the option to not answer those parts. Please take this survey at a time when those questions would not make you feel embarrassed, inappropriate, or distressed. The survey will take you about 6 to 15 minutes.

Plural systems: Please take this survey only if your physical body is at least 18 years old, and submit only one survey response per physical body.

Privacy: To make it easier for a whole plural system to answer collectively, you can edit your survey response later. This is why you need to be logged in to Gmail to fill out this survey. The form will NOT show your email address to the person who created this survey.

All submissions are anonymous. This form does not ask for real names, birth dates, addresses, or similar personal details. I will anonymize or remove any identifying information from write-in responses before I publish the the survey data. Please do not write any identifying information into it.

If you choose to withdraw your submission but cannot edit your submission for whatever reason, please email me at frameacloud@gmail.com . You will need to tell me of something unique in your entry for me to find and delete your submission. In the process of doing so, please be aware that I will then also be able to associate your survey answers with your email address and you. I will not disclose these details to anyone else.
