Embryology 2024
Our embryology program returns in 2024! This school-favorite program allows students to learn about life cycles through the incubation of chick eggs. This program is a student and teacher favorite! There are a couple of changes this year to our program, with the main highlight being our egg supply. This year, we will be utilizing Columbus Feed and Hatchery for eggs, and while we are sad to see our fun colored chicks go, we are now open to earlier hatch times! Please see the extended dates below!

This program is sponsored through a Corteva grant and is NO COST for schools to participate! Extension will supply all of the materials and curriculum, visit classrooms 1x/week for four weeks, and chicks will be taken care of at the end of the event. If you have any questions, please reach out to Amanda Hackenkamp at (402) 362-5508 or amanda.hackenkamp@unl.edu.

*Please note with date selection: I need to let our supplier know 2 weeks prior to needing eggs. Our first hatching start time is February 5th, I would need a confirmation by Monday, January 22nd to secure eggs.
