2023 Clayfield College Music Festival - Solo Vocal / Instrumental Sections

The annual Clayfield College Music Festival will be held in Week 6, commencing on Monday 23 May. Performances will be categorized in instrument groups and there may be separate sections for Primary and Secondary students. For the third year, House points will be awarded for participation and the winning house will be presented with the Clayfield College Music Festival Perpetual Trophy, donated by National Music Australia. Selected students who have received an adjudicators high distinction award will also be invited to perform at our Grand Concert, to be held on the evening of Friday 27 May.

While there is naturally a competitive element in this Festival, of greater importance is the chance for wide participation and enjoyment of musical performance, as well as the opportunity for all students to receive feedback from respected professional musicians.

WHO CAN ENTER?
All Clayfield College students are eligible to enter, even if you learn outside of school or don’t sing or play in a school ensemble. Students may enter on more than one instrument, ie flute and voice - please submit separate forms for each instrument. Students may also enter as a group with 2 or more participants - please submit the group application form (only one application per group).

HOW MANY POINTS WILL MY HOUSE RECEIVE?
All individual participants will receive 2 points for their House, per entry. Students who enter in pairs or a group will receive 1 point each for their respective House.

IS THERE A COST INVOLVED?
