Once you submit your registration, you can expect email confirmation within a few days.  LYC will then email you an invoice for the registration fee ($600+ HST) that you can pay by credit card. Registration is on a first come, first served basis in order of registration; don't worry if you don't get your invoice right away. Registration is complete once invoices have been issued and paid. If you need to cancel, refunds minus a $60 fee will be issued up to 30 days prior to the tour (June 29 2024).  50% refund for cancellations after June 29 2024. Please note that your safety is our first priority. If rowing conditions are unsafe, and the rowing is not possible on one of the tour days, no refunds will be issued.

Risks :            I do understand and hereby acknowledge and agree that participation in rowing/sculling involves certain risks and dangers which include, but are not limited to, collisions, cold weather and water, physical exertion and muscle strain, heart attack, hypothermia, heat exhaustion and drowning. In consideration for permitting me to engage in rowing/sculling activities (on water and on land) in an event sponsored or organized by Lunenburg Yacht Club (LYC) Rowing, I on my own behalf and on behalf of my heirs, executors, administrators or assigns do hereby release and forever discharge Lunenburg Yacht Club, its directors, officers, employees, agents, tour organizers and volunteers (hereby referred to as the 'Released Parties" from any and all liability and responsibility for any injury, death, loss or damage to my person or property however caused, including, but not limited to, the negligence of the Released Parties, whether passive or active. For greater certainty, I understand and agree that I am not only giving up my right to sue the Released Parties, but also any rights my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns or beneficiaries may have to sue the Released Parties resulting from my death. *

Preparedness for Participation ;    I further agree, acknowledge and confirm that I can swim 100 m, have sculled for at least one full season, and am fit enough to row up to 20 km in one day in unpredictable coastal waters. I plan to row regularly in the months preceding the tour. If not rowing regularly,  I am confident that I have the fitness and rowing experience required to participate in this tour. I am familiar with and understand the danger  associated with cold water and weather, specifically hypothermia and how  to deal with it should an accident occur. *

Membership in Provincial Rowing Association and RCA;              I hereby acknowledge that at the time of the tour, I will be a current member of a rowing club that is registered with my provincial rowing association and Rowing Canada. I understand that my participation  in rowing/sculling activities of a LYC rowing event is conditional on confirmation that I am fully registered with my provincial rowing association and Rowing Canada. I acknowledge and agree that LYC Rowing has the right to refuse to allow me to participate in a rowing/sculling event organized by LYC Rowing if I am not fully registered with my provincial rowing association and Rowing Canada. Note: if you do not plan to join a rowing club in 2024, you can join Ontario Adventure Rowing as an independent member to obtain current RCA membership and insurance coverage. *
