State Outreach Director - Manages the outreach efforts of their state. Responsibilities may include managing socials and building a list of state policy contacts
2-5 hours week
State Research Director - Conducts statewide research into legislation. Works with the State Policy Director in setting state policy initiatives and drafting AYA's bill proposals.
4-6 hours week

Special Projects/Events Director - Organize events and projects possibly with speakers and high level government officials. Plan local and state level events to gather students and officials. Most unique opportunity. Ex.) Currently, at the national level, the Projects Director is organizing an event with the past CTO of the CIA and several students.

2-4 hours week
Staff Writer - Responsible for working with the editor-in-chief on articles informing about AYA policy initiatives, youth issues, and other news relevant to students.
1-2 hours week

Policy Committee - Members work directly under Research Director and State Director. Handle manners and tasks given by these directors in accordance to meetings.

1-2 hours week

Hours given under each position are not necessarily consistent, rather an estimate of what time looks like when there are large tasks going on. Be sure you are able to commit.

We also have a national-level team for legislation in Congress. But we exclusively recruit our national team from state-level positions.
