EarthCube Governance Budget Request

The EarthCube Office is pleased to announce $100,000 is available for governance budgets as part of the ECO Year 3 budget. To apply for funding, please review the information below and complete the form below by October 1, 2021.

Eligibility:
Members of the following groups are eligible to apply for funding: 1) the Leadership Council, 2) the Science & Engagement Team (SET), 3) the Technology & Architecture Committee (TAC), 4) the Council of Data Facilities (CDF) and 5) the Council of Funded Projects (CFP). Criteria:
- The proposed project must be directly related to the goals of an EarthCube Governance Committee as described in their respective Charter and/or as discussed by Committee Leadership.
- There is no maximum funding amount, but we would like to support as many of the best ideas possible.
- Proposal costs must include overhead.
- Project funds must be spent out no later than April 30, 2022.
- Preference will be given to project proposals that are received by October 1, 2021.

Timeline:
- Proposals submitted after October 1, 2021, will be considered only if there are remaining funds.
- Your proposal will be reviewed by the Leadership Council and your team will receive feedback within 30 days.

Suggestion:
- Please do not include sub-awards in your budget as they can cause significant administrative delays.
