ART Internship/Volunteer Submission Form
The Archivists Round Table of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (ART) no longer accepts student, intern, or volunteer position postings that are in violation of US Labor laws or fail to adhere to the US Department of Labor’s Internship Programs Under the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Society of American Archivists’ Best Practices for Internships, or the Society of American Archivists’ Best Practices for Volunteers in Archives. ART aims to provide the New York Metropolitan area with top candidates from our membership base for all levels of employment and aids in supporting salary transparency. We aim to put an end to discrimination based on race, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, and to close the wage gap between men and women in our profession.
This form is to be used for all current paid student positions, paid or unpaid internships, and volunteer positions. All submissions for paid positions require an hourly wage range and all submissions will be reviewed by the ART Board. Postings will remain on the site for three months or until filled, whichever comes first. We reserve the right to remove positions from the website that do not meet our current standards for employment as listed above.
