About the Course
Truly knowing one another and deeply caring for one another is at the heart of biblical counseling. Scripture calls us to love one another as Christ has loved us, so we strive to emulate that love. Providing this sort of care is not reserved for the professional counselor—it is for you and me.
In this course, we will learn the basic building blocks of biblical counseling, or how to biblically care for one another. Our greater vision is to cultivate intentional relationships. We will be going through Dr. Ed Welch’s book, Caring for One Another. This book and course emphasize the application of the gospel in our lives and hearts. Each class will begin with a review of the assigned chapters and a supplemental lecture. After the first hour of lecture, we will split into small groups for discussion. Your group will be the same throughout the course to build deeper relationships and to foster more personal discussion.
**Cornerstone will provide the book, Caring for One Another. You will have to pick up the book from Cornerstone or Jen prior to the course beginning.**
