Behavorial Risk Assessment Training

Description: Behavioral Risk Assessment Training is a module for the school’s selected behavioral risk assessment team. Training includes why there is a need for risk assessment, how the team works together to assess risk for violence, what data/information is used to make an assessment, and how to develop a management plan using the assessment results.  Teams will use real case scenarios to practice skills learned during training.  Teams attending this training will be able to identify, investigate, assess, and manage risks and potentially dangerous behavior in school.

Participants will learn to:

  • Understand the federal studies

  • Identify subjects and situations of concern

  • gather information and investigate risks

  • Utilize case management to mitigate violence

  • Enhance the climate and culture of the school
